Lynnly Ng-Olsen / Lynnly Benson / Lynnly 吴琳玉 is a Queer Singaporean Video Artist, Media Practice Scholar, and Arts Media Lecturer whose ongoing art practice has been iteratively developing for over a decade.
Their work explores Eastern and Queer artmaking methodologies to generate disembodied performances of self as a means of anti-colonial resistance and liberation. Through embracing ghostliness and disappearing, Ng-Olsen employs artistic rituals of abstraction, distraction, and regeneration to mediate the inevitable futurity of this beautiful life.
Ng-Olsen has a PhD in Creative and Critical Practice and their video art endeavours have been screened/exhibited at Wotever DIY Film Festival, BFI London, Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, and ICA London. They are currently an Associate Lecturer at London College of Fashion and Research Associate at University of Sussex.
